Obedience Class
Beginner Obedience
This class is designed for dogs aged 6 months and older.
Looking for a dog training class that goes beyond the basics? Our Beginner Obedience Course is designed to help you and your dog build a solid foundation of communication, focus, and everyday manners using positive, reward-based training techniques. This class is ideal for dogs who are new to training or need a refresher in real-world skills.
Throughout the course, you’ll work on essential behaviors including sit, down, stay, recall, leave it, touch, watch me, place, heel position, and loose leash walking. These skills are not just commands—they’re tools to help your dog navigate the world calmly and confidently, both at home and in public.
One of the unique benefits of this class is the training environment: it’s one of the rare opportunities where your dog can practice obedience around other dogs without the pressure of constant interaction or chaos. This allows your dog to learn how to stay focused, engaged, and responsive even with real-life distractions nearby—a critical skill for success outside the classroom.
Whether you’re dealing with a high-energy young dog, a newly adopted companion, or just want to strengthen your bond and communication, our Beginner Obedience class offers structured learning, personalized coaching, and a supportive space to grow together.
Start your training journey today and give your dog the tools to be a well-mannered, confident companion wherever life takes you!

Obedience 2
Obedience Level 2
Prerequisite : Completion of Basic Obedience
In this class, we will focus on expanding and fine-tuning your dog's obedience skills, ensuring they develop good manners both at home and in public settings.
Our Obedience Two class isn’t just about sharpening your dog’s skills—it’s your dog’s chance to earn the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification, a nationally recognized title that celebrates well-mannered dogs and responsible pet ownership.
The CGC test, offered during the final week of class, is a 10-part evaluation developed by the American Kennel Club (AKC) to assess your dog’s behavior in everyday situations. From politely greeting strangers to walking calmly on a loose leash and responding to basic commands, the CGC demonstrates that your dog is friendly, confident, and under control in public settings.
But this isn’t just about a test—it’s a milestone. The CGC is often the first step toward therapy dog work, advanced training, or dog sports, and it's a great way to show the world how much time and effort you’ve put into raising a reliable, respectful companion. Many housing communities, landlords, and even some insurance companies recognize CGC certification as proof of a well-behaved dog.
Training for the CGC helps solidify critical obedience skills like stays, recalls, polite greetings, and focus around distractions—all with positive reinforcement and encouragement. Best of all, it's a chance to build trust, confidence, and a stronger bond between you and your dog.
Join our Obedience Two class, take the CGC test, and walk away with more than skills—walk away with a title! It’s a proud accomplishment and a great foundation for wherever your training journey leads next.

Obedience 3
Obedience Level 3
Prerequisite : Completion of Obedience 2
If you don’t use it, you lose it! Same thing happens with your dog, so we offer this next level to help keep your dog sharp on their skills. We also will journey out into the world and take our dogs on a walk to experience other distractions on week 4, 5, & 6.
Obedience Commands:
Sit: precision heeling with automatic sits
Down: it’s a valuable tool for promoting calm behavior, building impulse control, and setting the foundation for more advanced training.
Stay: With consistent, gradual training and positive reinforcement, your dog will learn to stay reliably—even in high-pressure, real-life situations.
Loose Leash Walking: Loose leash walking helps build impulse control, enhances communication, and makes walks more enjoyable and stress-free for both the dog and the owner.
Sitting Politely: Impulse control and skills to handle distractions while on a walk.
This level emphasizes strong handler-dog communication, problem-solving, and preparation for activities such as therapy work, competitive obedience, or dog sports.
